Short Bio

Dr. Li received the B.S. degree in mathematics and applied mathematics and the M.S. degree in pure mathematics (number theory under the supervision of Prof. Jianya Liu) from Shandong University, China, in 2009 and 2012, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2016, under the supervision of Prof. Michael Z. Q. Chen and Prof. James Lam. From 2016 to 2020, he has been a research fellow with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, working with Prof. Lihua Xie, and a senior research associate with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, working with Prof. Gang Feng. In 2020, he joined the Department of Control Science & Engineering, Tongji University, Shanghai, China, where he has been a full professor since 2022. He held a visit to the group of Prof. Peter Richtárik at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia, in September 2019. He was finalist for the best paper award at the 2018 IEEE International Conference on Real-time Computing and Robotics.
